This impact driver boasts many of the same specifications as the previous generation impact driver, the DCF887. That is, except the dimensions. It uses a new latest gen brushless DC motor that has a massively reduced footprint, plus a shorter impact mechanism. This allows it to measure just 100mm front to back, compared to 135mm of the previous model. Once you hold the new DCF850 you will agree that it gives a great feel, bringing the tip of the bit closer to your hand. This version of the tool is supplied without batteries or charger, letting you get a hold of the bare unit without needing to fork out for another battery, charger and case if you already own all the kit.
