The fan design is of the axial type which gives an incredible flowrate and improved efficiency. The machine has been designed to be perfectly balanced with a 9.0Ah or 12.0Ah battery to angle the nozzle at the ground for the best debris pickup possible. This version of the tool is sold as a bare unit to allow cost savings if you already have FlexVolt batteries and are just expanding your power tool portfolio. The DCMBA572 has a variable speed trigger that has an extra long travel. This allows finer control due to the larger range of motion.
