Nearly identical to the previous 230mm cut off saw from DeWalt, except with a future-proofed battery compartment that allows their new 15.0 Amp-hour size FlexVolt battery pack to fit in the compartment and still be waterproof. This saw is easy to use, with an excellent form-factor and ergonomics, allowing it to lead in its class against other 9 inch cordless cutoff saws.

There is a water attachment point which delivers water to both sides of the blade. This allows for maximum performance when cutting tough materials. The liquid carries away the slurry generated by cutting dust generating materials, it helps to massively reduce the dust in the air, and it keeps the blade cooler. You can supply water to the hose connection via a mains water supply, or – in keeping with the cordless nature of the DCS691 – attach a pressure sprayer.

This tool is supplied without batteries or charger, keeping the cost lower for those already invested into the DeWalt XR FlexVolt powertool ecosystem. You can run this tool with 6.0Ah, 9.0Ah, 12.0Ah or 15.0Ah battery packs. The capacity of these batteries in FlexVolt mode is 2.0Ah, 3.0Ah, 4.0Ah and 5.0Ah respectively.
