This kit contains everything you need to take care of and landscape a large garden. It is made up of five cordless garden power tools which each use DeWalt’s extremely popular 18 Volt XR Lithium-ion battery packs. The batteries are interchangeable with all the power tools, as well as being usable with other DeWalt cordless tools such as impact drivers, combi drills and mitre saws. The kit comes with four of these high density 18 Volt batteries which each have a capacity of 5.0 Amp-hours. The kit is also supplied with three multi-voltage battery chargers which can each recharge a battery in under an hour.

The lawnmower has a 48cm solid metal blade for high performance grass cutting. The metal blade can be sharpened to extend the life once blunted, or replaced completely. The mower comes with a safety key that prevents the motor running even with the batteries plugged into the machine. On that front, the machine combines the power of two of the four included 5.0Ah 18v batteries to drive the powerful and efficient brushless DC motor.

The motor of the strimmer is mounted at the bottom of the pole. This allows the pole to split in two for more compact storage and transportation. To balance out the weight of the motor, the battery holder is at the very rear of the machine, behind the main and auxiliary handles, acting as a counterweight. The grass trimmer has a cutting swath of 330mm and takes 2mm diameter strimmer line, of which 7.5 metres is included to get you started.

The hedge trimmer is 550mm in length which gives you great reach but also allows you to more easily get a flat surface when facing hedges. The trimmer can cut medium thickness branches thanks to the blade gap of 19mm. With a fully charged 5.0 Amp-hour battery the machine can run for up to 75 minutes, while remaining much quieter than a petrol-powered hedge trimmer. 

The blower is lightweight and has been designed to be used one-handed. The nozzle is removable to allow more compact storage and transportation. Using a high performance brushless DC motor, the machine can output a maximum air volume of 450CFM, blowing at 125 mph.

The final garden power tool in this kit is the polesaw, which is a 20cm chainsaw on the end of a long pole. It gives you a reach of 3 metres, but if you fit the extension pole you can extend that to 4.5 metres. This is fantastic for pruning trees, or taking care of larger branches in hedges. The motor is incorporated into the head of the saw and is brushless to extend battery runtime.
