This thicknesser from Makita has been designed to be compact and lightweight while still being powerful enough to cut up to 3mm per pass on stock under 150mm wide or 1.5mm on stock over 150mm wide. The unit is available in either 230 Volt or 110 Volt variants to suit the desired application and would suit a mobile carpenter thanks to the 27kg weight or a workshop thanks to the impressive capabilities. The cutting head is driven by a high-power/low-noise 1650 Watt motor which allows it to be used for long periods with minimal user noise-fatigue, especially when compared with other similar machines on the market. The stock feeding system has been specially designed to allow as little snipe on the timber as possible.
