This powerful machine from Makita’s LXT range of 18V Li-ion power tools has an excellent brushless motor to give you extra long runtime with minimal maintenance requirements. It has a 13mm keyed chuck to ensure a strong grip on the drill and core bits. With an auger bit you can drill up to 38mm diameter holes, or 65mm with a self-feed bit. When you attach a hole saw you can drill up to 101mm diameter holes on hi speed mode, or if you reduce it to low speed mode you can use hole saws up to 127mm diameter, or five inches. The design of the angle drill is such that it allows you to get into tighter spaces such as between joists, while still giving incredible power in a relatively compact package.
